Our summer vacation was an incredibly beautiful trip to Maine and Northeastern Canada. The invitation to visit our friends in Canada has been in place for several years once Bryce was ready. This year, we made it happen - and it did NOT disappoint! In fact, the entire adventure exceeded all expectations!
Our visit with Mr. Gil and Miss Marilyn was delightful. Their generous spirit and kind hearts made us feel extremely welcomed and loved. Bryce also gained a new buddy with their dog, Gizmo.
Marilyn's favorite place to visit is Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia. We can see why ... It became one of our favorite places, too! Our day there was full of blue skies and comfortable temperatures. Our "inner photographers" were giddy with creative ideas for pictures of this quaint fish town. Chris and I took turns with Bryce, so we each had some alone time to explore and soak in the serenity.
Bryce was intrigued as he watched the fireman put out a fire with a huge hose. He was also terrified when we unexpectedly encountered a man in a kilt playing bagpipes by the lighthouse. He is apparently NOT a fan of the sound of bagpipes. I give him props, though. He handled the full-day adventure that included more than eight (8) hours in the car amazingly well. We also visited Halifax, Nova Scotia and enjoyed a delicious dinner along with some shopping at the pier. Bryce took a tour of the "clock hotel" and continues to talk about going back to it weeks later. This was obviously HIS favorite part of the day! But for me and Chris, there was something extra special that connected with us in Peggy's Cove. Our visit inspired these six Artigraphs that are now available to purchase as prints.
We hope that something will connect with others who appreciates the art of this little fishing cove.
