When we received a call from Abi, an instant connection was felt by both of us. She was planning a family photo session, so her family could give her father a canvas as a gift for his 75th birthday. All of her siblings, nieces, and nephews would be coming to Club Med Sandpiper from different parts of the USA. How exciting!
As we began to make plans, she was extra nervous about pictures of her eldest daughter who has been diagnosed with ADHD. We were able to reassure her that xx would be just fine and how we specialize in photographing children with special needs. Chris and I have always had extra love and patience with children ... But our patience and compassion have grown since our son, Bryce, was diagnosed with Autism. The end result of our photographs hide the difficulties to achieve the portraits you see. This challenge, however, is what makes the reward even sweeter when the parents are thrilled with their Artigraphs!
Abi's other concern was glare on her daughter's glasses. Our pre-session discussions really helped us all prepare for the moment. Using our Photoshop skills, we were able to to create composites that gave us beautiful pictures looking clearly into Emily and Liat's eyes. ☺
We hurdled the rainy weather obstacle by finding a new, sheltered location on the property. Love, laughter, and relief filled the air as the anxiety diminished and happy memories were created. Our time with Abi's family was genuinely a delight, and we are so happy that God crossed our paths!
